Preloved Program

What types of items does Thistle & Wren accept for preloved?

We accept a variety of high-quality preloved items including contemporary fashion apparel, boutique maternity wear, gently used footwear, and wooden toys and puzzles. Items must be in excellent condition, clean, and align with current fashion trends.

How should I prepare my items before submitting them?

Ensure your items are in excellent condition, free from stains, tears, pilling, or excessive wear. They should be freshly laundered with scent-free detergent, free of animal hair or odors. Zippers and fastenings must be functional.

How does the appraisal process work?

Our knowledgeable staff will review your items based on our inventory needs and market demand. Valuation is based on condition, brand quality, and exclusivity, offering you 20-30% of the item’s assessed value.

How long does it take to receive store credit after dropping off items?

Please allow 5-7 days for the assessment of your articles after drop-off. You will then receive an email detailing your total credit value and the status of your articles. After we receive your signed Credit Voucher Form we will release your Store Credit Voucher within 48 hours.

What happens to items that are not accepted?

Items not accepted for preloved will be returned to you or donated, based on your preference. We contact you via email for pick-ups, and unclaimed items are donated within one week unless a longer hold is arranged.

How can I book an appointment with Thistle & Wren?

Appointments can be scheduled using the calendar with in the client portal. Please login into the client portal. Additionally, a link was also provided in your signup email. We operate strictly on a pre-scheduled basis and do not accommodate walk-ins.

Does my Store Credit Voucher expire?

The Store Credit Voucher is valid for 18 months from the date of issuance. It is non-transferable, non-refundable, and exclusively for your use.

Can I transfer or sell my Store Credit Voucher?

No, the Store Credit Voucher is strictly for your use and cannot be transferred, sold, donated, or shared. Violation of these terms will result in deactivation of the voucher.

Are there any brands that Thistle & Wren does not accept?

We have a curated list of pre-approved brands that align with our sustainability and style criteria. However, if you have a brand you believe fits our ethos, please contact us at info@thistleandwren.com for consideration.

Past Consignors

Do I still have my consignor credit?

Absolutely, yes. Your credit will be transferred to our new system and you will receive a Store Credit Voucher for the equivalent amount.

Can I see my consignor item transaction history?

We are not able to provide the historical records for each consigned item that enters the shop. We are confident with our policies and procedures to ensure all items have been accounted for in your credit.

What happens if I still have consigned items at the boutique?

You will receive an upfront Store Credit Voucher for the items within your consignor account. You can expect a Store Voucher Form in your email. Upon signing, we will release your Store Credit Voucher.

My consignor account doesn't let me login into the client portal?

You are required to signup for a new Preloved Client Account.

Why do I need a new client account?

Because of the transition from consignor to preloved program, we require everyone to create a new client account. There are updated terms outlined in the new contract.

Returns & Exchanges

Can my purchase be refunded?

Thistle & Wren Boutique does not provide refunds.

Can I return Preloved Items?

Thistle & Wren offers a 3-day exchange or store credit policy for preloved items. We do not offer refunds. To qualify, we require your sales receipt. Items must in original condition and still have the sales tag still attached. All merchandise purchased on sale is a final sale.

What products are final sale?

While we accept returns for the majority of our products, please note that due to hygiene and safety concerns, some specific items are non-returnable. These include teethers, pacifiers, pacifier cases, baby bottles, rattles, tableware, swim wear, intimates, sunglasses, headwear, beauty products, and seasonal items. Additionally, gift cards and discounted items are considered final sales and are non-returnable.

What is the Product Return Criteria?

To qualify for a return, in-store and online items must meet the following criteria, except in cases of defective or damaged products:

  • Be in their original packaging, including tags and instruction booklets.
  • Be in their original, unused condition.
  • Be disassembled (if applicable).
  • Be clean, free of unusual odors, and devoid of any hair (animal or human).
  • Receipt of sale

Please note that all returned products undergo a rigorous inspection. We reserve the right to decline returns for items that do not meet the above criteria. In such cases, we may return the item to the buyer at the buyer's expense, and a restocking fee may apply.
